Fantasy Recap - March 20th

March 20th saw my 3rd attempt at daily fantasy hockey, and shit am I gettin' good.

My first go, I entered a free league - because I knew I would be really bad - and placed 43/50. That is so bad. I picked my favorite players, and found out my favorite players suck at hockey. Bummer.

Anyways, the next day I thought about my line-up and ranked 7/50. Much improvement. Just because my favorite players suck at hockey, doesn't mean I have to.

So there I went, my 3rd go, and now I can't stop talking about it. This blog is an excuse for me to play with photoshop and complain about hockey! Let's go!

My line-up

Pekka Rinne (58% Owned) 16.50 pts, 1 W, 25 SV, 1 GA
Cam Talbot (26% Owned) 27.50 pts, 1 W, 35 SV, 1 SHO

Jack Eichel (12% Owned) 8 pts, 1 G, -1 +/-, 1 PPP, 3 SOG
Mitch Marner (18% Owned) 7 pts, 1 A, -1 +/-, 5 SOG

Viktor Arvidsson (28% Owned) 12 pts, 1 G, +1 +/-, 4 SOG
Patrick Marleau (20% Owned) 5 pts, 5 SOG
Milan Lucic (16% Owned) 14 pts, 1 G, 1 PPP, 5 SOG, 2 BLK

Rasmus Ristolainen (12% Owned) 8 pts, 1 A, -1 +/-, 3 SOG, 2 BLK
PK Subban (28% Owned) 3 pts, 2 SOG, 1 BLK

The Good

Ok, so for my third time out, I picked a pretty good line-up. Low ownership percentages, pretty decent point spread, great goaltending.

I expected a shutout from Rinne, I mean after all, he was playing against the Winnipeg Jets, the worst shit of a franchise that has ever existed. - Could you imagine a hockey team so bad they moved it to the desert? Die already. - He had a shutout too, until like the last 3 minutes of the game. Whatever, still great numbers. Pretty easy pick too.

Milan Lucic was a great pick, I can't imagine wasting a bungle of cap space on McDavid, when you can get the sort of septic run-off points in the form of big headed-Lucic. And he blocked a couple shots. Big winner!

The Bad

PK fucking Subban. Man, I love this guy, what a winner. Just a gem of a human being.

SHOOT THE GOD DAMN PUCK!

I picked this guy up expecting some massive numbers against the shittiest team in the league not named Colorado. But no, 2 shots on goal and a blocked shot, thanks PK.

The Result

At the end of the day, and again, this is a free group game, I placed 4/50. Not too shabby. The game will get harder once money's involved, but this is the training ground.

First Star

Cam Talbot was a total beast for me against a playoff contending team. I really expected him to take a lot of shots, which he did, but I had no suspicion that he'd pull a goose-egg out of the bag.

Good game Cam!

Sub Par

PK, why you do this to me PK?

Cry some more ya fuckin' baby.

....yeah, I'll pick you again. Don't cry....

C'mon PK, it's ok, I was just mad.

...I wanna kiss you all over......over and again

Dun DUN DUN
